Kind Words

After finishing one of Tara’s yoga classes I always feel as if I had been transported somewhere else. Beginning with the first breath I am fully absorbed in her asana and spiritual guidance as she leads us through our own personal experience. Tara’s calm and soothing voice has a way of invoking a sense of serenity while still guiding us through a rigorous practice. Her own love and light radiates through her teaching and I feel honored and grateful to have been in class with her.

Simple. Serene. Sublime.

What do these words have in common, besides the obvious?  These are words that come to my mind in describing the yoga teachings of Tara Hayes.

There is an elegant simplicity to Tara Hayes, just like all the teachings of Jivamukti, the basis of classes.  The flow is what she has been taught, and in her hand, it flows casual and relaxed, just like her beautiful smile and voice.

Once you’ve worked up a serious sweat, you realize you’ve been fooled by a sense of calmness that is in the air. Maybe it’s the cool tunes.  In the end, you feel your body responding to the beauty of the practice, you recognize something splendid, complete and special.

Tara puts the “flow” in Vinyasa. Her classes have an engaging rhythm and tempo that captures the essence of flow. Her instructions are clear, calm and inspiring.  Her music selections are meditative and energizing.  Tara’s authenticity and ability to connect personally with the class gets the emotions flowing too.  Vinyasa with Tara is a joyful experience.

I’ve tried a lot of yoga classes, but Tara’s class quickly became a favorite of mine. Her vinyasa classes are challenging, inspiring, and fun. Tara creates a positive, approachable, environment where students feel comfortable. Her classes flow with such ease that you may not notice you are being challenged because you feel so supported. She brings a depth of yoga knowledge along with a vibrant, light-hearted spirit that makes class enjoyable. I always leave class feeling more grounded and rejuvenated.

Practice with Tara is my church in that she sets a serene place to come to with her warmth and encouragement; and her message inspires me to see things in a new way. Before I realize it, I’m sweating and playing with that edge she challenges us to explore. In her classes I experience the deepest Savasana and leave feeling renewed. Tara radiates light and love.
